Commission Houses
During the last year, because of being more homebound, I’ve started painting portraits of houses. Two of the commissions were of homes that have been demolished due to urban and suburban development, and the houses no longer exist. It’s a very personal gift to have a memory of the place they once called home and more than one receiver has been brought to tears. I really enjoy doing these little portraits because each house has its own personality and charm, as do the owners.
